2.50% APY Amboy Direct Premium Savings and $25 bonus

April 21, 2008 · Filed Under Bank deals & offers

Amboy Direct Premium Savings is currently available at 2.50% APY for all balances over $1. This is one of the best rates for a no fees- no minimum Savings account anywhere.

However, they have a refer-a-friend program whereas I send you a referral link, you make $25 and I’ll get $10. If you are interested, shoot me an email hustlermoneyblog@gmail.com with your first and last name.

In order to get the $25 bonus, you must:

  1. Open with at least 3 thousand dollars.
  2. Maintain the balance over 90 days.

Since the rate is really high, I don’t seem to mind with the bonus requirements. It is FDIC insured and no hard credit inquiry is done with this bank.

From the website:

  • NO FEES or MINIMUMS.
  • EVERYDAY ACCESS without changing your current bank account.
  • CONFIDENCE in one of the country’s oldest and most established banks (1888)
  • EASY to get started! Apply online in 5 minutes or use our convenient mail-in application.

The rates are pretty good, especially the 5.35% (I wish I had 20k to put in). After the site got hacked yesterday though I’m kind of hesitant to even think about putting my money in there.

How do you know which banks perform hard or soft inquiries?

I have read from other blogs, and different people have confirmed this. Although you could call them and check it out personally yourself.
