If you have no job, make $7 an hour, or a college student…this Ameriprise $50 Promo might be worth it. You go sign up, set up a meeting, and hear 1 hour of financial info.

From the website:

Complimentary Consultation from Ameriprise Financial
Plus, a $50 American Express® Gift Cheque*

Ameriprise Financial has been helping clients reach their financial goals for more than 110 years. Now let us help you – starting with a complimentary initial financial consultation.

What can you expect? You’re likely to find our professional, confidential consultations unique. Here’s why:

* Your goals. Our advisors concentrate on understanding your needs and goals, rather than on promoting specific products or investments.
* Options and guidance. Trained in a wide variety of retirement and investment strategies, our financial advisors can lay out the facts and provide you with options and guidance. They are a good resource for discussing things like reducing taxes, college planning or preparing for a more secure retirement.
* Experience. With more than 110 years of experience and more CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professionals than any other firm, we’re fully poised to meet your financial planning needs.
* No obligation. This is a complimentary consultation. There is no cost or obligation, just sound financial guidance.

You can expect an hour of boring financial advices and them trying to sell insurance. Just say thanks but no thanks at the end. I recommend get a fake number to give them afterward. And if you are a cheap bastard, get the meeting over lunch and get them to foot the bill. Make sure you make a copy of the $50 bonus page.

I did this offer. Your mileage may vary but they will be hella pissed off when they find out you’re wasting their time. Then again, if you aren’t 19 like me, they might not catch on.
