Chase $125 Bonus Good Until July 31st

May 9, 2008 · Filed Under Bank deals & offers

It has been only over a week, and Chase already having a new $125 bonus. Chase needs to just get rid of the deadline. For this $125 bonus, you must sign into your Chase account (bank or credit card) in order to see the promo page.

Sign into your account, then click this $125 bonus page. You can apply online or print out the page to take to a local branch. Remember to get a referral coupon from a friend in order to get an extra $25 if you are going to open in branch. I hear, however, that Chase is cracking down on this. YMMV.

The physical locations are in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida , Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin. I believe anyone can sign up online.

You must set up direct deposit in order to get the $125 bonus. Try first with Paypal. If it doesn’t count, then try ING, Citibank, etc etc via ACH transfer to see if it counts as direct deposit. Your account must be opened for 6 months before closing.

Here’s the fine print from the promo:

It’s easy to get $125!1. Print this page and take it to your local Chase Branch or apply online by July 31, 2008.

I tried to use Paypal, but received a call today from an employee at Chase today inquiring why I have not yet set up direct deposit for my account. So, I take it that Paypal does not qualify…. Just a heads up!

No direct deposit = no $125? Or I will just be charged $6 a month?

Chase is being very generous with their commissions. They must be pretty hungry for the business.

    Feng,

Some people got the bonus money before they set up DD, so YMMV. Yes, you will get a service charge after two months if you don’t set up DD.

    Karen,
I’m not sure if it’s targeted. I would email CSR or call them to see if they can add you. Even visit the branch with the printout of the promo to see if they can help you. YMMV.

Don’t use PayPal. Use an ING or E-Trade account. I read somewhere that they are no longer recognizing DD from PayPal accounts because they’ve literally had thousands of people sending $1/mo. with them. I’ve successfully tried both ING and E-Trade and they both work. If you don’t send them the $1, they will start billing you $3/mo.
