Huh! I opened an account, and now I’m trying to open one for my wife, but it keeps giving me “We’re unable to proceed with your request. The coupon code you have entered is either invalid or expired, or it has already been redeemed.” I am using a different coupon code, but it’s not accepting it. I wonder why.

Maybe it’s location-specific? My branch is in Arizona, and my $125 bonus showed up 4 days after my Paypal transfer….

Chase didn't count Paypal as a direct deposit for me last time. Here is a link for $125 that you can open online Note: You will be charged $22.95 for checks, but I talked to a CSR that said you can call in once the fee gets charged to get it refunded and the checks canceled.
