I applied for my Amex Blue Cash card through your link – figure it’s a good way to hook you up for giving me some blog roll love.

Hi Hustler,
Let me just say for the record that your blogs rock my face off.
But I have a question about your previous post about the Advanta Life of Balance Credit Card. You mentioned something about putting one’s car loan on the card. That’d be an awesome move for me- if I could figure out how to do it.
So my question is, how does one turn a traditional bank loan into a credit card balance so that he can transfer it and get the awesome balance transfer interest rate? Do you have to use one of those paper checks that come in the mail sometimes? Or do you have to take out a cash advance? Or is there some other way that you know of (perhaps that doesn’t involve a 3% fee…)?
Thanks Hustla,
Ed
Please email me a link for the Virtual Bank Bonus.
Ed,
You want to do a balance transfer. Simply call them and ask to send you a balance transfer check. Write the check to yourself and deposit into your bank account. Then just use the money to pay off whatever you need to pay off.
what business credit card helps you fico score the most?????
Hi, Small correction. Amex Blue Cash does not give 1.5% rewards. Grocery stores pay 1%. Most of everything else is 1/2%. Also, I had a credit score of 725 (excellent) with Experian (Amex’s own credit bureau). Blue Cash gave me a limit of 1990. A couple of months later, I tried to get it increased. My credit score was now 775 (max is 850), so this is more excellent and I was rejected. It would take me much too long with this credit limit to get to the point where I earn 5%. I prefer my Schwab 2% card. I think Amex drastically restricts the 5% usage deliberately. I have 2 other Amex cards which are linked with the Blue Cash card. I have a credit limit of $11,000 on one, and, on my business card, no credit limit. They also refused to shift the credit limit from either card to the Blue Cash. I would never have applied had I known how restrictive Blue Cash was. My credit score suffers from this unnecessary hard credit pull.
Hustler, where do you hail from and is this your sole gig?
