The Free Checking account comes with a $0 minimum balance and service charge and no direct deposit requirements. To qualify for one of the free gifts, simply enroll in online banking, have a direct deposit of at least $300, and make three bill payments within 60 days of opening the account.

Requirements (1) and (2) above must be met within 60 days of account opening and the code will be given within 90 days of account opening
Other important fine prints include direct deposit must be payroll, pension, Social Security or other government benefits, must be new to FirstBank, gift is considered interest and subject to IRS, and gift can be revoked if the account is closed within 6 months of opening. To avoid fees with your Free Checking Account, do at least 3 bill pays if you sign up for Bill Pay and do paperless statements. Do not request checks when sign up. Also, no need to open a Savings so don’t let them push you to open one to qualify for this promotion.
This Firstbank promotion is a great deal for the Holidays and there is no expiration date. My personal preference would be the Apple iPod touch.

The Forward card offers 2 points for every $1 you spend at restaurants, on books, movies, and music. Aside from those “money” categories, it offers 1 point for every $1 spent. All those points add up and eventually mean more money or “cash back” with absolutely no annual fee!
