Free WiFi Hotspots

I rather work outside my home whenever I’m blogging. To find a free wifi hotspot, check out this website for the closest location. Here’s my list of top free wireless internet hotspots.

  1. Panera Bread – With so many locations, it’s the top place to get unlimited internet usage. It serves good food such as sandwiches, soups, and salads.
  2. Public Library – Nothing to buy, and it’s your tax dollars at work. Very comfortable and relaxing environment for the whole family to hang out. You can bring your laptop or sign up for a library card to use their computers.
  3. Corner Bakery – Another great place to eat and surf the web for free. Many locations in big cities that can be easily found.
  4. McDonald’s – Not my favorite food place, but you get free unlimited internet. I normally buy a drink, but I never stay too long. Too many kids which equate to too many distractions.
  5. Starbucks - Best atmosphere to sit back and enjoy surfing the net. However, you only get 2 hours of free internet per day. You must register your Starbucks gift card and use it once a month. If you want 4 hours per day, I can imagine you need two cards registered.
  6. Local Coffee Shops – such as Caribou Coffee and Bear Rock Cafe, many local coffee shops give you free internet access. Great place for people who like different brewed coffee besides Starbucks.
  7. Schlotzsky’s – Great deli sandwiches and free internet access hangout.
  8. Unsecured Wireless Router – Yea yea, it’s unethical but whatever. Although very slow, you can find them free at most apartment complexes.
  9. Airports – Most do charge you to get online, but there are some free ones.
  10. Local Parks, Downtown areas, and University – Some big cities have them for free.
