hey without calling chase and giving away yourself away for using paypal/ING as your DD requirement…how are you sure that they will count as a DD…is there a min amount it has to be or can it be a dollar?? and is anyone absolutely 100% sure it works?? thanks in advance…and sorry if it sounds like im doubting…just want to double check!

Just got off the phone with a Chase Bank Rep. She says that this can even be done over the phone for an account start up or via online account opening. Just need to provide the coupon code. She mentioned $25 and also was not aware of direct deposit being wave for any time preriod. She mentioned that re-occuring ACH transfers INTO this account also were considered direct deposit.
She sounded a little contradictory to some of the info on the promo offer window (and what you have in the Blog) so I’ll probably call back tomorrow and see wwhat other info i can get.
BTW- I recently did the wachovia free 100$ Visa card. Because my CRS on the phone was a dolt it was more painful than anticipated. Seems this might be more smooth.
I will ask however… are there any credit report or checkfacts “hits” when opening/closing so many bank accounts?
