Ever since the EVO came out, Sprint is a total new company with the “freebies”. Currently, there are very little “freebies” you can get from “Retention” aka Account Services. As always, be courteous and stand your ground.

However, here’s the complete list of Current Sprint Retention available discounts as of June 23rd 2010:

There is no one way to get these offers. It’s simply talking to the right Retention CSR (aka Account Services).

If you rather not talk to Retention, try emailing them or Echat by logging into your account. Simply tell them “My friends have this “offer…..” , I was wondering if I could get the same for being a loyal Sprint customer.” You do it enough time, you will eventually find a Sprint CSR to give it to you if it’s available.

Cash Credit Bonus

$70 credit per line – always good for renewing your line, and it doesn’t effect the $150 upgrade no matter what CSR might tell you.
$50 one time courtesy credit – good for getting an additional line or whatever issues you might have with Sprint.

You might be able to get $50 credit by using the SAVE50 code by emailing them later because of new line of activation.

$10-24, $20/24 – it might be possible to still get this offer for $20 per month for 24 months if you can talk to the Manager. Only the manager from Account Services can get this to you.

$25 Goodwill Credit for Activation of a New Line -  You need to talk on the phone with the CSR from the activation department

$36 activation fee waived - Call Account Services after you see this on your first bill for new activation.  Tell them you see it online for free activation, but now it’s showing on your bill and you want to take it off.

Tell them you have no usable service at home and there is no signal. You were interested in the airave but the cost too much. You have a “friend” having the same issue and was offered the airave free. Can I get it too?

$100 Rebate Bonus – Try to get your phone from Best Buy or Direct Sprint Seller from your company. Usually, there is no mail in rebate and you pay it straight up unlike from sprint.com website. However, just send in your rebate anyway to stack on top of it since it won’t cost anything. So far, it has work for me every time. You can google sprint rebate form to get the latest form.

Line 6 to 10 on a Family Plan

You could also add a 6th line to your family plan even though the limit is 5 line per family plan if you talk to the right CSR. Best chance is if you have a separate line and they are afraid of losing you, hence they will add on to your family plan to make it a 6th line.

Corporate Discounts

Call them and tell them your company you work for to get % off your bill. Company such as Citi and Chase get 27% discount off their monthly bill. You could also check it here http://www.evpdiscount.com/

This method only takes 5 minutes to get 25% Sprint Discount on Sprint and Nextel Service forever. Here’s what you do:

  1. Go to aim.com and download AIM instant messenger.
  2. They will ask you if you want to create a new username. Click yes, to get an email account with aim.com

More Ways to Get the Sprint EVO

I wrote previously on the many cheap ways to get the Sprint EVO phone. As June 4th is coming closer, few more tricks have arise to get this phone as low as possible.

  • RadioShack – $199 without Rebate and get a $20 credit toward your phone accessory when pre-order by 5/31. There’s also a $10 bonus toward the phone when you fill out the survey of your receipt at TellRadioShack.com. You can also get up to $50 credit for trading in your old phone. At RadioShack, you can pre-order up to 3 EVO phones.
  • Best Buy -  You can always get it at Best Buy for $199 with no rebate. If you talk to Best Buy first and tell them about the RadioShack promotion, they will match it with a $20 gift card.
  • Sam’s Club – It has been confirmed you can get the EVO phone for $199.87 + $40 credit toward your bill. However, this is for new line of service only. If you are doing an upgrade with an existing line, then you must go through RadioShack or Best Buy. No membership is required to get the phone. Just tell the card checker you are visiting the phone kiosk. You can also ask them to waive the $36 activation fee.
  • Credit Union Member – If you are a credit union member, might be worth checking cusaver.com since it’s possible to get the EVO phone for $160. However, you must do the $100 rebate. They will waive off activation fee automatically and save 15% off your bill.
  • Sprint Account Services aka Retention – The best method is through Retention first. Dial *2, then 5, then 6. Some people claim to get the plan for $49.99 with the EVO $10 4G fee included. Again, big YMMV. I called yesterday to see if I could get this and the CSR didn’t know anything. However, he offered me the $10-24 months right away. Essentially saving me $240 for two years. You can then go through Best Buy or RadioShack later. Also, even if you get the activation fee for going through a 3rd party retailer, you can always call Retention to get it waived. You will have 30 days to get all the deals you want.

Cheapest Sprint EVO Plan: Tricks and Deals

I’ve been watching the Sprint Evo 4G phone like a hawk ever since it was announced last March. Some of the features include 4.3″ screen, 8MP back Camera and 1.3MP front, mobile hotspot 4G, 1GHz snapdragon, etc ..the list goes on and on. Almost to an obsession, I can finally have a phone with better features than those Iphone lovers.

If you have been reading this blog since day 1, you know that I’ve been with Sprint for a long looong time. I’ve made many posts on how to get the best deals on Sprint. Currently, I have 10 lines(big family) with unlimited data and texts to the tune of around $120 a month. Yes, unreal but that is how cheap I was able to get it down to per month. I got more lines than I need since it’s actually cheaper to get more lines if that even make sense at all. But I digress.

Today, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse announced that the EVO will be out on June 4th.  However, in order to get this phone, you must pay:

  • $199 for the phone, after the usual two-year contract.
  • $69.99 a month for the Everything Data plan.
  • $10 a month for Premium 4G WiMax service(Mandatory whether 3G or 4G).
  • $29 a month if you want the WiFi hotspot service that will serve up to eight devices (optional).

In order for me to get this 1 phone with all the features, I will need to pay as much as the 10 lines I have right now. Damn damn..Fck it..I’m gonna get this bad boy. I know those of y’all reading been wanting this phone too, so I’m gonna formulate the best plan to get this phone for the cheapest as possible.

Option 1 – Totally Free

Currently, they have a 30-day guarantee for all Sprint plan. This means you can sign up to all the crap you want, best phone, best features, etc, then return it at the 30 day mark and they will refund EVERYTHING including monthly charge, phone, data usage, etc. You won’t have to pay a penny. So wait until June 4th, give this baby a try and see how it is, then return at the 30th day, hence this is a complete free toy for you for 30 days.

Option 2 – Cheapest Deal Possible

Lets say the 3rd week at option 1, you know you want this phone for sure. It’s time to work on the best deal possible. There are a lot of scenarios since family plan is actually cheaper and the details on phone plan are still new.

For Individual:

  • Pre-Order the Sprint Evo at RadioShack with free $20 accessory credit
  • Sign up for the $69.99 plan, but call CSR Account Services to see if you can get the $20 off-24 month deal. It’s still available if you can talk to the manager. The least they can give you is the $10 off – 24 month. Read more in-depth here.
  • You might also get a $25 Goodwill activation credit if you call in and you already have an existing account.
  • Check with the company you work for to get up to 27% off your bill(some do it dirty and just give the Corp. ID hierarchy code). You will need to notify Sprint CSR to see how much % off you get for your company. Also, credit union members get another 10% off. http://www.cusaver.com/
  • If you willing to wait, I’m sure there are places you can buy the phone for $199 without $100 rebates. But turn it right around and mail in the Rebate anyway, since Sprint is known to send out these rebates whether you get it from them or not.
  • I wouldn’t sign up for $30 WiFi hotspot service just yet, since I think there will be a hack out very soon to get this for free. If you want to do it legit, then feel free to get this since you might be able to replaced this for your home internet.

  • You can go through the above link with the email and CID #, get automatic 15% off all your plan, individual or family plan. However, with SERP plan, it’s very hard, if not impossible, to stack on corporate discounts. If you can get 25% off with corporate discount, then it might be best to keep to the regular Sprint plan.
  • The regular $129.99 1500 Minutes Everything Data Plan would work best if you have two or more people who want this phone badly. Again, go through with the above $20 off – 24 month if possible.
  • If you are getting a family plan, the add on 3rd to 5th is $20 a month. You can get $3 off per phone credit for 3rd to 5th line. But if you are gonna get 5 lines, make sure everyone will want to use the EVO since the $10 Premium fee is per line on top of the $20.

Newly Updated Chase Complete Bonus List as of 4/12/10

Personal Accounts:

  1. *DEAD* Chase $125 Bonus – Currently good until 5/15/2010. Print now before they take it down. Make sure to deposit $100 to get your bonus. Also, log in to print or email me for a printout.

Change Your Sprint Plan to $30 SERO YMMV

Believe it or not, you can still get on the Sprint $30 SERO plan with 500 anytime minutes, free unlimited data, free unlimited texts, free 7pm and weekend, picture mail, and more. The quickest way to get on SERO now is to find someone with SERO who is willing to do a Transfer of Liabibity(TOL) at the Sprint store. You can find people willing to sell SERO plan on Craigslist or Ebay for around $50 or more.

As you know, the $30 plan is dead at the direct website. There is a second method: Many people from different forums have reported to have some success after a few attempts through the CSR. This is YMMV but can save you a lot of money on phone bills.

First you must know someone with a SERO plan already, and you want to mirror the same SERO plan with a different number. So say your hustband/wife has the SERO, then have your number under the same account or add another number. You can also find someone with SERO that you can trust, have him/her added your number under their plan. You can always do the TOL later for separate bill. Make sure you have an old phone ready to be activated. Follow these steps:

  1. You: Dialing 866-264-1282 (or 1-800-639-6111 or 1-888-882-4030 *less success with this one)
  2. CSR: How can I help you?
  3. You: My name is … Phone #…. password, etc
  4. CSR: Hello Mr. Hustler, how can I help you?
  5. You: Am I eligible to add an additional line?
  6. CSR: One minute, oh yes of course.
  7. You: I have an old phone ready and I would like to add a line with the plan code FF1124C
  8. or another option: You: Currently, I have the Sprint SERO $30 plan 500 minutes plan. I have another phone number (or I would like to add another number) that I want to have the exact SERO plan for $30 with 500 minutes. 
  9. CSR: The SERO F & F 500 plan?
  10. You: I just want another line with the exact same plan.
  11. CSR: I can do that right now for you.
  12. You: Thanks. Could you repeat my new plan again?
  13. CSR: ……..

*Do not let them transfer you to tele sales. Tele sales cannot help you.

Again, be polite and be persistent. You might want to call during daytime because people have reported more success than night time. Again, you might have to do this 3x, 5x, or 10x until you find someone that can do this for you. They might even ask for a Sprint referral email. Using Sprint BlackBerry without BIS

I just got a Blackberry Tour over the weekend, and currently using the Blackberry on my Sprint family plan. I got the phone for free using www.sprint.com/accenture link. Although I’m not sure if people still can go through the site using bogus email since Sprint is cracking down on this. Do so at your own risk.

It’s also funny how some people manage to make money selling the above link on Ebay. Here’s an example. That dude made over $3000 profit. LOL. f.y.i. That’s not me. haha.

In order to get online using Blackberry internet services(BIS), you must pay $30 charge each month. As always, I won’t paying for something when I know I can get it cheaper via a different method. Some people manage to get it for free long time ago, some manage to get BIS for $10 if you have a SERO.

**For SERO customers for BIS – you can get $10 as an add-on by calling 1-800-927-2199 or 1-866-264-1282 and tell them you want the BIS for $10.

Since I really don’t care about Blackberry PUSH email or their own instant messenger, I simply want to go online for news and regular email. You would still need a data plan and I was able to ask Sprint CSR for an unlimited data pack for $2.50 through Account Services.

Here’s what I did once I got data on my account.

  1. Download Mini Opera Browser to my desktop.
  2. Extract the file on your desktop.
  3. Download Blackberry Desktop to transfer Mini Opera file from PC to Blackberry.
  4. Go to download folder and move the Icon to the front so it will appear on your screen.
  5. Now open up the Opera browser for internet with Blackberry.

*You might need to update your profile if browser doesn’t work. Update by going to Options->Mobile Network–>left click(7 dots), then Update Profile.

Again, above is the short version. You might need to Google some more for more technical details.
