Any proven banks for DD on this one ? I’ve tried a few and haven’t had any success
M&T bank refuses to pay this bonus to me,claiming that my zip code “disqualifies” me from the bonus.In the meanwhile,the account is racking up fees.Scam!
It was months ago, but I believe the trial deposits from Amex’s Serve account triggered the bonus for me. They may have gotten more strict since then. Also try Paypal verification.
I had the account since June and made two qualifying direct deposits. I finally called today to ask about the bonus, and since I live in Illinois, I am not eligible. This bonus is only available to those who live in the direct region of M&T bank branches.
I have heard about them doing this. I received the bonus back in March. I live in MO, far from any M&T Branches as well. Unless they changed something since I received my bonus, they are lying to you. Ask them to produce something in writing. They make you enter your zipcode when you go to open account to make sure you’re “eligible via location”. That is extremely shady and I suggest going to the BBB+CFPB and complaining.
