    Indrajeet,

    Great list Hu$tler.

I have a question requiring your expertise. I just attempted to sign up for the Countrywide Mortgage principle rewards card via your websites link.

I only have an AMEX Blue Cash at present and have always paid on time. I have my mortgage through Countrywide so their 2 percent toward principle on all purchases is perfect for me.

I got the following message after submitting online.

    “Thanks for Applying
We are currently reviewing your application. You will be notified in writing about the status of your application within 30 days, as required by law.

Please do not resubmit your application.”

Is this a polite way of saying I will be getting the denied letter or is there still a chance I will get the card?

Having never missed a mortgage payment in two years and being auto approved for the Blue Cash I would assume this one would be no problem.

Thanks for any insight you can provide and sorry for being off topic.

I would just wait. You haven’t gotten a rejection letter, so you’ll never know.

Once you know for sure. And if they do reject you, give them a call.

I’ll wait and see. This is probably a new measure due to the credit crunch. If they deny I’ll wait a few months and then grab the Chase Freedom via your sites link.

A tip for your readers. If you are cheap like myself you may not benefit from the cash cards. I’ve spent about 2 grand on the AMEX Blue in the last three months and only have 1.72 cents cash back.

I was hoping I could pay my mortgage with it to get over the 6500 tier and into the 5 percent cash back. Countrywide wasn’t into that though…

    Live and learn!

    HM,

I am just wondering, how many checking/credit card acocunts do you currently have? If you are in the business for making “easy money” you must be having tens of accounts sitting out there..
