Call your local office — they will likely have an equivalent promotion for retirement accounts they can offer you
Alex says
What are some $.01 priced options? I can’t seem to find any.
Kevin says
Pete, how do you get the trades for a 1.75 each? can someone give details on this? there are a lot of us who seem lost with these steps.
Peter says
If you aren’t already an E*trade user, you can get free trades for 60 days (not considered a “promotion”) and get the gift card promotion. Opening up a new account with $2,000 or more gets you the 60 days and all you have to do is enroll and churn the trades. Granted, I haven’t done it yet and don’t actually know how to get it done cheapest, but plenty of people have had success turning 30 for $1.75 each ($52.50 total) and clearing the bonus after that.
Mike Epp says
I checked this out also , they do not allow the combination of free trades + the gift card promotion.
MillionMile$ says
Guys over at Fat Wallet said they called CSR and you can’t stack the free trades with the Gift Card… but what I still can’t figure out is how to buy an option for 1.70? I am upgrading my account now to opens to see if I can figure that out.. I thought options were 9.99 a trade as well? What am I missing here?
ak says
Are u sure this works for regular stock trades and not just for options? The terms and conditions says just options qualify?
Brad says
Can you double up on the $500 & $200 gift cards by doing 30 options trades and 30 etf/stock trades?
Hu$tler says
Probably not. I think you can either get the $500 or $200 only.
Mike Epperson says
great tip, however if you do not know how to trade options then get some help, by reading here it looks like alot of people dont get this.
Nick says
I am going to make this deal, but where is the link of the reading stuff?
thank you
MillionMile$ says
There is talk about this on Flyertalk and they don’t understand how you can do cheap trades for 1.75.. their best idea is to buy ETFs or something. Hu$tler, can you post a tutorial of how to do these trades? Have you done this promotion before and does this work? Thanks.
Nick says
can u post the link? i don’t get the “do cheap trades for 1.75” neither, but it should not be hard to buy some cheap options without commission.
anyway, i will try this loophole.
Ed says
What is the type of account to open? I see Margin Account, Margin Account with Options Trading (With Level 1-4 options), and Cash Account Only.
Nick says
i even cannot believe it. any trap there?
Hu$tler says
Not sure. I would call and talk to a CSR. It’s a loophole with the free options trades. Even without the free trades, you would come out a handy profit.
