Northern Bank Direct CD Rates
CDs are a certificate issued by a bank to a person depositing money for a specified length of time. Usually the longer the term, the higher APY rate you make. The interest is compounded daily and credited monthly, then you can transfer penalty-free to an NBD liquid account, ACH to external account, or by check.
Northern Bank Direct’s Best CD Offers terms ranging from 12-months to 60-months. Their Best CD Offer pays the highest APY rate. If you’re interested in making a higher rate than a traditional savings account then make sure to check out these rates listed below.
- Minimum deposit: $500
- Maximum deposit: $250,000
- Early withdrawal penalty: A penalty will be imposed for early withdrawals. For full details, contact Northern Bank Direct

I filled out the application which apparently is not user-friendly or properly operating. It did not work so I chose to use another bank called bread bank. My application went smoothly with another bank the same day. Northern bank contacted me a month later with lousy replies service. Saying that I needed to give them a picture of my ID. Their online application was not smooth and her response time was terrible and unacceptable. I would . Their online application was not smooth and her response time was terrible and unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone to waste your time with northern bank, direct as they are a bad run entity.

i am in Indiana. After filling out all information including SSN, driver license, ect and system showed not able to open an account, disappointed and system should be improved at the first step to verify it instead of collecting all info.
