Style
The Mandarin Oriental has a dark and cozy interior that’s reminiscent of a classic grand hotel, but with a modern and simple twist. The lobby and reception area pairs caramel wood-block paneling with gleaming beige and brown marble flooring and metal accents. Geometric Art Nouveau pattern adorns the elevator doors, matching the yellow-and-blue abstract corridor carpet.
Rooms
This location offers eight different room and suite variations ranging from the Deluxe Room to the Royal Suite. The elegant Deluxe King Room had a sleek, contemporary design, furnished with a sumptuous bed dressed in luxurious linens, a 42-inch flat-screen TV and striking maple cabinetry inlaid in black. The spacious bathrooms featured a deep tub, separate rainfall shower and Red Flower toiletries. But our favorite room amenities were the practical items, a full-sized nail file and a shoehorn to name a few.
Facilities
To help you unwind after a long day, check out the 16,000 square-foot Spa at Mandarin Oriental. You can enjoy four different heat/water experiences: Vitality Bath, Crystal Steam Room, Experience Shower and Ice Bath. Treatments pair Asian healing arts with modern beauty ideals.

Service
The top notch service at the Mandarin Oriental is one of the best we experienced in the city. Guests are met with a welcome tea delivered to the room immediately after checking in, nightly turndown service, and complimentary newspapers and shoeshines.
A chauffeured Mercedes is ready to take guests anywhere within a two-mile radius of the hotel. We never touched our bags from the moment we arrived in a cab until after we got in another cab to leave. Overall, the service went above and beyond.
