Aeroplan is offering a 25% transfer bonus when you transfer their partners points/miles to Aeroplan good through April 27, 2015. The eligible programs include SPG, Wyndham Rewards, Best Western Rewards, Choice Privileges, Coast Rewards, Club Carlson, Hilton HHonors, Marriott Rewards, Le Club Accorhotels, Golden Circle Award, Hertz Gold Plus, and Diners Club.
However, the only circumstance where this make sense is converting Starpoints into Aeroplan miles. Starpoints convert into Aeroplan miles at a 1:1 ratio, plus for every 20,000 points transferred you get 5,000 bonus miles. If you transferred 80,000 Starpoints, then you would get 100,000 Aeroplan miles + the 25,000 mile bonus for a grand total of 125,000 Aeroplan miles. Not too shabby at all.
