Member FDIC.
I just got this in my mailbox. However, it has a different name on it but my correct address. I’m thinking it’s to the previous homeowner (who hasn’t lived here in many years). Since it’s still addressed to my home, can I take up the offer?
BOGUS offer if your experience is anything like mine!! I opened a B of A checking account in June, 2018; jumped though all the hoops, which was verified by my local branch manager here in Scottsdale, AZ; was told I just needed to wait 90 days. Waited & checked back. Branch had no idea why I hadn’t received promotion credit to my account, since all the requirements had been met. Called the “investigation” team TWICE & was told “the check was in the mail”. It’s MID FEBRUARY! Just got off the phone from a THIRD call to the “investigation team”, who said I was denied, but she couldn’t understand why….but she would find out. It is infuriating to have to invest this much personal time into getting Bank of America to just do the right thing…and I have no confidence that they will. Boo.
I was targeted for this $300 bonus online in my Bank of America credit card account pages. I will probably pass on it as I can’t see how to make the $4,000 deposit requirement.
Ask your employer to deposit certain amount of your pay to this BOFA account, totaling $4K for e.g. $1400 per pay check. You could do it well within the given 90 days time frame.
I’m retired.
Is there some special promotion code to use this offer?
Can anybody share if there is some special promotion code?
It’s kinda nuts how some of you open these accounts you don’t intend to use or keep just to screw the bank out of a bonus. Then you get pissed when you get screwed over at your own game when applying for want offer you were not targeted for. Get a life people, smh!
My wife just received the Exclusive Bank of America $300 checking offer in the mail and neither of us have any bank accounts or credits cards with B of A. The letter they sent does have a list of frequently asked questions Q & A and one of them is: Q: Are family members or friends eligible for my bonus offer? ‘A: This exclusive offer is reserved for you. It cannot be shared with family or friends.’ I wouldn’t risk applying if you did not get the exclusive invite in the mail or unless you have something from B of A stating they will give you the bonus $.
Is the offer still available now? It seems already expired, but the link is still there. Will I still get the $300 bonus if I apply a new account through that link?
I mean the BOA checking $300 bonus…. I do not have the direct communication and do not have a BOA credit card…..
Bank of America never gave me the $300 bonus even I accomplished with all the needed requirements, I called customer service, only answer was call in 30 days, after 30 days another 30 days and … they have not given me any bonus yet. BoA customer service is terrible, do not waste your time, Chase is the best option, they bonus my account in 10 days. !
I am in the exact predicament you are, Raul. As a result, I am forming a class action lawsuit against Bank of America. To form a class action, there needs to be two plaintiffs at minimum. It will cost us nothing, Bank of America MILLIONS. We will end up with our money one way or another. If interested, contact me, please and I will do what needs to be done. I just moments ago got the last straw response / non-response from B of A, and I was already preparing to pursue it legally. Thanks… Anyone else reading this… same… Contact me.
Yes they also did that to me and was not rewarded the $300. I will along with class action lawsuit.
Sorry to hear you’re having the same issue. I have recently filed a BBB complaint. B of A contacted me within very few hours after I filed the report. The woman has committed to helping resolve the matter. If she does not, we move forward. If she does, then I’ll share the text of my complaint so you can file one in the same manner. I’ll let you know either way. Anyone else want to sign on for this, let me know!
Hello David. I apologize for the delay in response. YES, Bank of America did, in fact, pay out the $300. Once I filed a complaint with the BBB, B of A contacted me within hours and then within about 3 days, credited the $300.
Please modify this as you see fit when filing your complaint…

It is also important to note that you signed up through the URL promo.bankofamerica/checking300/ which is no longer a valid link because the promotion expired on 12/31/2015, but is traceable as valid at their end.
Good luck!!
Hi Martin – Was this resolved? I’m in the same boat where they owe me the $300. Did you close your account yet?

Me too. I did everything you told me to do, and I have confirmed that I will receive this $300 with their customer service, but they are lier!!! I have a lots of friends who have the same experiences. I can NEVER trust BOA!!!
BOA’s representative lied to me every time I called to inquire about the 300 bonus. 1st, 2nd, 3rd time they promised to credit my account but the 4th time, they opened a case and promised to end me a letter with a manual check. Guess what, I’m still waiting 2 months for a response! Life is too short to waste my time dealing with this FRAUDULENT institution. I closed my account today. I’ve never had so much frustration with any other bank. Good Riddance to these LIARS!!
Record yr experience and join class action suit. Save all records. Get’em for more!
I don’t understand why this is being advertised on the blog if it is not available to everyone – if I click on the page, and then click apply, it inserts a promo code in the URL that is not inserted when applying for checking directly from bankofamerica.com. When I chatted with BofA and inquired, I was told as long as I click apply from the promo page, the promo code will be attached to my account and I should receive credit.
Has anyone attempted this already and NOT received their bonus?
How is the offer received? Via regular mail or via e-mail?
NO GO: To receive the offer communication, you need to have a Savings account, ATM card, CD & IRA accounts, Mortgage & HELOC without checking account.
In the bank I was told that “qualifying direct deposit” has to be established for 90 days at least, when I called – they said 6 month. Do you know what is “qualifying direct deposit” in terms of amounts, duration, does it have to be FULL or is it possible to split a payroll?
