Coin Discovery Vault is running an ad in several newspapers offering a “free Silver American Eagle” for just S&H ($4.95). This deal is legit. I’ve done this before and they do this every year.
The price of silver standing at $16.20, so you are making over $10. Great deal for coin collector. However, make sure you follow the details below:
Reminder, give them a fake number or pay by check if don’t want to deal with all the phone calls.
- Call 1-800-251-1504
- Ask for the Free 2008 American Eagle Silver Dollar with only $4.95 s/h
- Give info such as Credit card, address, and then give her a fake phone # (or use your fax as your phone #) cuz you don’t want them to call you with deals.
- Tell the CSR NO, NO, NO, NO on all other offers (about 5 minutes on the phone)

I got three!
I called this number and I called another one I found elsewhere. From this number they sent me a card saying they sent me two by mistake. I called in to ask about what would happen if I kept it and the lady told me that they would just charge me another $4.95. So, I get three Silver Eagles for $14.85, which is less than the price of what one goes for ($20.99 @ the U.S. mint, which stopped selling them, BTW).
Cool! Thx for this lead. I did the coin and threw the guy a bone and did the shopping rewards trial – 2 @1.95 each for first month with 2 $25 gift cards as “rewards” after reading Lauri’s post. Thx for the heads up for the post card. So this deal ends up making me ~51.10 if i added correctly!
I work for a company that takes calls for infomercials and things like the silver dollar offer.
Just keep saying no. The person is required to offer the upsells and the magazines and clubs, but just keep on saying no and they will move on.
As far as those clubs go, the shopping rewards, vacation deals, etc. where they offer a 30-day free trial and tell you that you can claim some gift card — they work. I’ve done several of them. You just have to be diligent in cancelling before the end of the trial. Also, to get the gift card, you have to mail in a postcard they send you “claiming” it — it’s not automatic. But again, if you do the follow-up, make the calls to cancel, it works.
Just say NOOOOOOOOOO
some of the promotions didn’t sound too bad.. but man.. too much to keep track of to cancel..
say NOOOOOO too bad you can’t get more than one.. but can you have someone else in the house order one?
