Amazon DiscoverDiscover It cardholders can get a $5 promo code through Amazon until 12/31/2013! This seems to be a sort of targeted offer, so it may be best to contact a customer service representative and ask them directly within your Amazon account about a $5 promo offer for Discover It. Open a Chat session with an Amazon CSR seems to do the trick for everyone. Apparently, the code is supposed to be automatically applied to anyone who has linked a Discover It card to their Amazon account. The promo code is available through Amazon’s “Cashback Bonus” program, which offers customers the ability to pay for purchases at Amazon.com using rewards such as points, cash or miles from banks or credit card issuers.

If you want to use your cashback points to pay for a purchase, you’ll need to proceed to the checkout section on Amazon where you can choose your payment method. This section will have an option for you to choose Pay with Cashback Bonus. Points applied to your order will be displayed in the Order Summary below the “Place Your Order” button.

For those of you who don’t have a Discover it® card, consider signing up for it to get 18 months 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers, 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in Restaurant and Movie purchases from January through March 2014 with free and easy sign-up. (1% for everything else).
