As important as making money is living a healthy life I believe. Lets be real, you can’t enjoy life if you are overweight with health problems no matter how rich you are. I’ll be the first to admit on making judgement with overweight people. First impression is everything, and I’m in that 99% crowd who think “damn, you are fat and lazy! Get yo azz on a treadmill.” I know I’m being mean and I’m sorry if that offended you, but seriously, YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Whether you are a mom, son, dad, in your 20s, 40s, or 60s, it’s never too late. If you care enough about your loved ones and seeing them through life doing physical activities, then check out this 7 free day pass to 24 HR fitness.
Once you get your 7 days free pass, visit your local 24 hr fitness gym and see what they can offer. I’ve been a member for almost 3 years and highly recommend it. When you showed up, they will give you a tour. Ask to speak to a Sales Manager because they can give you a better deal. Don’t agree to any deal yet. Let them talk through everything. Don’t be too anxious on signing. Answer everything with “it’s allright.” The best deal is signing up for 3 years if you know you are in it for the long haul, otherwise get the month to month. Most likely, they will offer you something like 3 years for $800 with $149 renewal each year for life. You can get much better than that. I’ve heard as low as $499 for 3 years with $29 renewal each year for life. Tell them how you got a friend “Michael Smith” and he got that deal and you want the deal same as his. If they won’t give it to you, see how what the best they can offer. I would say 99%, it would be like 3 years for $599 and $49 renewal each year afterwards. That would be good enough to sign up. If not, come back another day since you got a 7 days free pass and talk to another salesperson.

Tim,
I appreciate your comment. Again, I applaud you for being in that 1% who thinks beauty is in the inside and not judge people on the outside. I wish to have your high standard. That is all lovey dovey, but in the real world, people don’t want to associate with fat people.
However, I’m old enough to realize that when you hang out with people with common interest, that tend to associate with you. E.G. poor people with poor people, rich people with rich people, fat people with fat people.
As far as people with medical problems that lead to an overweight problem, i highly doubt that with the number you have given. It’s more like the other way around. Eating unhealthy food lead to obesity then lead to medical problems.
Again, we are having an honest conversation. If you disagree, that’s great too. I suggest you sit down with some close friends and ask them about what they think when they see obese people and how they behave. You will see that they are in the 99%.
Hustler, I will be honest too: I think you’re a fool for thinking the way you do. You’re making a huge error in judging people by appearances, especially regarding weight. Millions of people have medical problems that lead to being overweight or obese. You’re right to recommend a healthy lifestyle and weight, but I think you go too far with your comments about fat and lazy. (Also, I think you overstate the 99% substantially. If you’re right, America is in worse trouble than I thought from vanity and obsession with appearances.)
I recognize that you are a young man from reading this blog regularly. Hopefully you will be able to maintain your fitness level as life becomes increasingly busy from kids and related activities. Also, I hope that your health remains good so that you can continue your exercise regimen for decades. If these things don’t happen, and your health problems lead to a decline in your appearance that you can’t fix despite your efforts, you may wonder why you ever thought the way you do now.
A much better plan is to learn not to prejudge, despite the fact that it is so sadly commonplace today. Be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.
