ROG GL753VE User says
I have a ROG GL753ve Gaming Laptop, which has the same problem. My Adapter gets hot, my battery discharges while I am plugged in and then the computer shuts down. It appears, it is a problem with all models that are ASUS ROG laptops. People all over the web are complaining about the ROG laptops in general. It isn’t just this model that has a problem. It is all ROG laptops. A complaint to the FTC should be made. I am contemplating filing a lawsuit for defective design. I am an Electronic Engineer and clearly, there is a major flaw in their electronics.
My power supply started doing this 3 months after having my laptop. The adapter has a buzzing and clicking noise, like some kind of arcing going on inside. Sometimes it says I have a battery, and sometimes it says I don’t. A few days ago I plugged it in and it said My battery was at 97% and when I pulled the plug out, the compute shut down. My battery indicator said, I had a full charge, then a few seconds later, it said, NO battery, then a few seconds later it said charging, and kept cycling over and over. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it, it says, my battery is charged at 87%, so I unplug it and it shuts down. I removed the driver and added it back, and now I have NO BATTERY showing. When I hover over the ICON when it says there is no battery, the indicator says I have 255% available power. How can that be? This computer has been a nightmare ever since I got it.
