Korean Air Lines and Asiana Airlines are resolving a class action lawsuit after being accused of conspiring to fix prices for air passenger travel between the U.S. and the Republic of Korea.
If you bought a ticket from either airline from Korea to USA or from USA to Korea between January 1, 2000 and August 1, 2007, you may be entitled to up to $500 in cash and $360 in coupons for future air passenger travel! However, this class action lawsuit settlement does not currently require proof of purchase (you may be asked for it in the future) so don’t worry if you lost your receipt. The class action lawsuit claims the two companies allegedly held meetings, conversations, and communications in the U.S. and elsewhere in order to establish artificially high prices for air passenger travel. Korean Air Lines and Asiana Airlines deny the allegations raised in the class action lawsuit but have agreed to a settlement to resolve the issue.
