Several McDonald’s franchisees agreed to an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) settlement of nearly $2 million to resolve claims they are liable for sexual harassment.
According to the EEOC, the McDonald’s franchisees violated labor laws by subjecting workers to sexual harassment and a sexually hostile work environment. Young male and female workers were allegedly subject to this harassment, which the franchisees allegedly did not attempt to stop.
AMTCR Inc., AMTCR Nevada Inc., AMTCR California LLC, White Bluff Inc., Gamble Oak Inc. and Rock Basin LLC are franchisees of McDonald’s locations in Nevada and California.
The McDonald’s franchisees haven’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $1.99 million to resolve the EEOC complaint.
