How to Earn Your $50 Referral Bonus:
- You must be a current member with CMFCU to qualify for the referral bonus. Simply complete the referral card and give it to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Franklin County.
- As long as your referral qualifies for a CMFCU membership, have them bring the completed referral card to any of CMFCU branches to open their new account. In order to be eligible, the person being referred must not be an existing member of the credit union in any capacity and must not have been a member who closed an account within the last 6 months.
- The bonus is $25 for each party if your referral opens a qualifying checking account (Metro Free, Metro Deluxe or Metro Merit Checking), which requires 1 of the following to be completed within the first 60 days of account opening: 1.) A recurring direct deposit; 2.) 10 signature-based debit card purchases with your CMFCU Debit MasterCard; OR 3 bills paid online using MetroWeb Bill Pay.
- The bonus is also $25 for each party if your referral obtains a new auto loan through CMFCU. The new member must finance a new or used vehicle within 60 days of opening his/her new account. Loans made subject to standard loan approval guidelines. Auto loan must be new or currently financed elsewhere and not with Columbus Metro to qualify for the cash bonus.
- New member may only receive one of each type of reward for being referred, but may receive additional incentives by referring other new members who meet the criteria for membership and the offer.
- Referring member may earn multiple incentives for referring multiple new members who meet the incentive criteria.
- All criteria must be met within 60 days of account opening to qualify.
- Referring member and new member will be paid the appropriate incentive(s) with a deposit to his/her existing CMFCU savings account after 60 days.
