Why don’t you just buy $100 gift card first and see.
I hope so too. But the fact that the T&C listed “qualifying purchases” exclude purchases of prepaid cards and cash equivalents, worried me a bit. Is gift card considered a prepaid card or cash equivalent?
You should be fine. Whether you are buying a candy bar or $5K gift cards is still a purchase.
Hi I’ve been following you for 10+ years and learned and made so much $$$ so thank you for that! I recently applied for the AMEX Business Card which offers 75k points after spending $5000. Their T&C states that qualifying purchases do not include purchases of any cash equivalents. Would purchasing AMEX gift cards be excluded as a qualifying purchase in that case? It’s a business card so the intent is to purchase them as gifts for my employees. Please let me know. Thanks
