Style
The Beverly Hills Hotel is the modern day embodiment of Old Hollywood Glamour. This style is easily recognizable in the Instaworthy property’s bubblegum pink walls, lush gardens, banana leaf wallpaper and green candy-striped pool beds. If you’re looking for a bit of that Old Hollywood Glamour in a refreshing fashion, this is the spot.
Rooms
All 185 rooms and suites and 23 bungalows pay homage to the heritage of this historic property, but with a luxuriously modern Californian edge. The Deluxe Room is styled in pink, yellow and cream and featured bronze fixtures, soft leather sofas and a pink marble bath.
Suites offer a complimentary wellness kit which includes an instructional yoga DVD, mat, blocks, bands, a Buddha board, massage ball and therapeutic oils.
Facilities
One of the hotel’s most notable features is thee palm-tree lined pool, accessible only by hotel guests. It’s heated to 82 degrees year round and plays popular movie theme songs underwater.
Guests also get access to the The Beverly Hills Hotel Spa which offers facials, massages, body treatments and nail care, a Joseph Martin Hair & Beauty Salon, a 24-hour fitness studio and complimentary weekly yoga classes (seasonal). The hotel also gives complimentary transfers to anywhere within a three-mile radius of the hotel.
Food & Drink
One of the hotel’s eateries is The Fountain Coffee Room, a cozy space with 1950s-style counter service and a legit soda fountain. The Fountain only has one cook and it’s first-come, first-served. We recommend heading there early to enjoy some items off of the scrumptious menu.
For guests lounging poolside, they can visit the Cabana Cafe. The menu features wholesome and healthy dishes like fresh fruit smoothies, sandwiches, salads and burgers. If you’re a fan of boozy desserts, try the Beverly, a house-made sorbet with champagne, strawberries, basil and lemonade.
With a beautiful terrace overlooking the pool, gardens and palm trees, the terrace at Bar Nineteen12 is the perfect spot to catch the Los Angeles sky at sunset. Here, you’ll find inventive cocktails using high-end spirits paired with seasonal ingredients, as well as light meals and snacks.
Lastly is The Polo Lounge, which rests outside in the courtyard amidst lush flowers and banana plants. The cuisine here is American with an Italian edge. The restaurant’s signature dishes includes items like the McCarthy Salad, Tortilla Soup and the table-made Steak Tartare.
Service
The Beverly Hills Hotel offers friendly, polished service that comes without fault. Staff is polite when greeting guests and are attentive to their needs throughout the stay.
Poolside service was a standout with plenty of ice-cold water and umbrellas, as well as suntan lotion on hand and sunglasses cleaning. The hotel also offers complimentary soft-serve ice creams and mojito push pops to guests as they lounge.
Location
The Beverly Hills Hotel rests on the quiet end of Sunset Boulevard, near Melrose Avenue, Rodeo Drive and West Hollywood. Los Angeles’s wealthy reside here and the fashion elite take shopping trips here often. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Address: 9641 Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills
Bottom Line
The Beverly Hills Hotel is an iconic property that exudes luxury. This beautiful and bright property is the definition of Hollywood, which is one of the reasons why it is deemed “The Pink Palace”. Guests can enjoy the chic outdoor pool, spa and fitness center, as well as top-notch service.
