As you enter the lobby, there is a curved hallway with three colorful displays of books wrapped in African textiles to contrast the elegant seating in muted gray tones. The mosaic behind the mahogany check-in desk showed The Great Molasses Flood, which ravaged the city’s North End in 1919. Throughout the hotel, there was also pieces from local artists.
Rooms
There are a total of 215 rooms and suites that 2343 designed by Bill Rooney Studio, who captured the classic, contemporary New England style with a neutral palette of grays and browns. There are floor-to-ceiling windows, custom beds, mahogany furniture with polished nickel accents, and a touchpad to control lighting, blinds, and the “do not disturb” sign.
