I had a similar experience to tt with the bonus posting. Within a week it was there.
Those thinking of partaking in this deal should also be aware of the tax implications of this since it is a 529 plan. If the earnings aren’t used for qualified educational expenses (during that tax year) then they are subject to federal tax and a 10% penalty.
Additionally there could be some state tax implications on both the principle and earnings depending on your state tax law.
I only added one beneficiary and have not looked into withdrawing any funds yet.
Samantha Yes the referral bonus cam in about 5 business days after they took out the original $25 from my checking account.
It seems like you have to fill out a withdrawal form and mail it in to them to withdraw the money – Is there any simpler way of getting the money out? and do we need to fill out a separate form for each beneficiary? Did anyone get the referral money in the accont yet? Please share your experiences with others. Many Thanx
can you open multiple accounts for more bonuses?
can i withdraw the money? How?
