The Ritz Carlton New York Central Park is situated in an opulent, 19th-century, 33-story limestone building. As mentioned above, the hotel received some renovations from a the French design firm Gilles & Bossier. The new look now is more discreet than what it used to be and radiates elegance with a warm wood paneling, gold accents and grey, taupe and pink-streaked marble.
Rooms
The hotel boasts 253 rooms and 47 suites all designed again by Gilles & Bossier and shows the sophistication of the rooms. The updated rooms now come with a rich neutral color palette and dramatic prints of powerful Manhattan women.
One of star rooms at the hotel is the 450-square-foot Grand Park View Room with stunning views of Central Park. It does a fantastic job of highlighting the beautiful Carrara marble bathroom stocked with Asprey toiletries, luxurious 400-thread-count Frette linens and the locally-curated beverage bar.

This hotel features state of the art facilities like the very first La Prairie Spa stateside, a new state-of-the-art fitness center with Technogym equipment and an innovative movement studio with on-demand virtual classes. Food & Drink
The Ritz-Carlton New York Central Park offers some of the best food and beverage outlets. A highlight is Contour, which is an all-day gastro lounge set in three unique spaces. There is the traditional room with wood paneling and plush upholstery, the posh dining area with bench seating and chandeliers and a chic bar headed by legendary barman Norman Bukofzer. The bar there specializes in special recipes calling for hard-to-find ingredients.
