These two cards almost amount to two free tickets anywhere in the U.S. However, they both come with $60 or $75 annual fee for each card. Some readers wrote to me about “playing dumb” and canceling the cards right after you have used up the points. “Playing dumb” is whereas calling the CSR and telling them that you didn’t know there was an annual fee or that there wasn’t one on the application. Ask them to either waive it for first year or cancel it right away and credit the money back. Of course, you want to do this after you have used up your points. You can take it up another notch by talking to the “Supervisor” to get out of the fees. Some readers might find the above info a little shady, but hey, to each his own. Don’t forget, you are at “Hustle”rmoneyblog. You can always just pay the one year fee and get the points which is worth more than $135.
Two free Airline tickets and No annual fee? YMMV
