Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing and Nasty Gal agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that they used false sale prices to encourage consumer purchases.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit accused Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing and Nasty Gal of using inflated “original” prices in order to make their sales look more attractive to shoppers. The false sale prices allegedly gave consumers the false impression that they were getting a good deal and made them more likely to make purchases.
Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing and Nasty Gal are online clothing retailers that sell fast fashion.
The retailers haven’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the false sale price class action lawsuit.
