Emirates Skywards Membership Tiers
When you fly with Emirates and flydubai or on a codeshare flight that carries and Emirates flight numbers (EK), you can earn and collect Tier Miles that can help you move up membership tiers. Please note that you can’t earn Tier Miles with their partners.
Once you join Emirates Skywards, you can enjoy benefits that increase in value as you move up the tiers. You can easily achieve the next tier by:
- Earning the required number of Tier Miles by flying with Emirates or flydubai; or
- Completing the required number of Emirates or flydubai flights.
The number of Tier Miles that you earn during a qualification period determines the membership tier you belong to: Blue, Silver, Gold or Platinum.

Earning Skywards Miles
You can easily earn Skywards Miles every time you fly with Emirates, flydubai, or their codeshare partners. And the number of Miles you earn per flight depends on your route, fare type, and class of travel.
You can also earn bonus Miles simply by being a higher tier member.
- 25% bonus miles for Silver members
- 50% bonus miles for Gold members
- 75% bonus miles for Platinum members
Not only that, you can also earn Skywards Miles every time you travel, spend, stay, dine, and enjoy with our growing number of partners all over the world.

You can earn Skywards Miles every time you travel, spend, stay, dine, and enjoy with Emirate Airlines partners all over the world from hotels, airlines, and car rentals.
If you don’t have enough Skywards Miles in your account, you can buy more Miles. Whether you’re within touching distance of a reward flight or you’d like to splash out on a flight upgrade, get there faster.
$30 equals 1,000 Miles and you can buy up to 100,000 or 200,000 Skywards Miles in a year, based on your membership tier. So you’ll be paying $0.03 per mile, which is much more than what we value Skywards miles ($0.012 per mile) at redemption.
Spending Skywards Miles
Once you’ve earned enough Skyward Miles, you can spend them on what you enjoy most from traveling more to staying in luxurious resorts for less, how you enjoy your Miles is up to you.
If you choose to redeem you Skywards miles towards award flights, you can use the Miles Calculator to price out routes. Keep in mind that, Emirates charges tax and fees on award flights, be sure to add that in your cost.
Partner awards are also an option for your Skywards miles. Each partner carrier has its own award pricing and eligible routes.

Please note, you can only book Qantas and EasyJet awards from the Emirates website, but for other partners, you’ll need to call Emirates Skywards or submit a form online.
Moreover, you can also use your Skywards miles for upgrades starting from 9,000 miles. Please note that pricing depends on route and fare type. However, most tickets can be upgraded in advance, except:
- Business Class Saver Fare: Upgrade at least six hours before departure.
- Economy Class Saver Fare: Upgrade at check-in online, or at the airport, or upon boarding.

With Skywards’ My Family you can pool your Skywards Miles into one account and reach rewards faster. You can invite up to seven additional members of your family to join, including children.
Whenever you fly with Emirates or flydubai, you can choose to contribute some or all of the Skywards Miles you earn into your My Family account. Any remaining Miles will go into your individual Emirates Skywards account.
With Multiply Miles, you can double, triple or quadruple your Skywards miles. You can also pay only $20 for every 1,000 miles you want to multiply, for up to 50,000 miles every year.
If you’re part of a company, club, or charity, you can earn Business Rewards Points every time your employees or guest travelers fly. With Emirates Business Rewards, your organization earns Points on all your business travel, which you can spend on future flights or upgrades on Emirates.
Any rewards you earn with Business Rewards, you can choose spend any fare type, on any flight, in any class. Please note that the number of Points you’ll need for a reward will depend on seat availability and the fare on that day.
There’s no limit on how many employees can join the program and no minimum travel spending to join.
