It’s to the dealership desresion . If they want to put in your code for your reward they will, but they don’t have to do it. So it’s click bait and you have to hear their stupid sales pitch .
We test drove a car this passed Mon and I asked the salesman about a code. He said i had to show it to him but the offer was still going on it had been extended. Well when I checked on line and couldnt find it! I contacted the dealer twice about the website and called the North American Hyundai and told them. Nothing yet!
Hi my name is Rich and I am sales associate at Larry Miller Hyundai in Peoria, AZ…We honor this promotion, and gladly embrace the opportunity to demo our product. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a test drive with me, please give me a call at 480-676-5811. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Most Hyundai dealers in Seattle area do not participate in this scheme. I tested Kona in Kirkland and Renton. They told me the nearest par dealer is in Federal Way. Wouldn’t waste my time and gas for $50 even I wanted to do another test.
I went to my local dealer , I reced my gift card instantly (virtual gift card ) .
you can get a card mailed for like a fee of 3.00
this is not a scheme. this is how they get you information. you actually selling your info for $50
I agree with those that say this is a scam. I even went to Hyundai national customer service and they were not willing to call Tamiami Hyundai in Naples, Florida to get to the bottom of this. I was really interested in the Santa Fe (which I test drove) and it is hard to believe Hyundai would risk the sale of a 38K vehicle over a Visa card bonus! In this instance, they did (and lost a sale). Bad business practice.
I did it at Hyundai in Everett, WA. They ask if I was serious, and I said I was. As I was about to test drive, they asked for proof of insurance, which I did not. I think I forgot to put the new ID card in glove department. Anyways, the manager still honored the $50 coupon. I got an email verification in about 10 minutes. I used it for a virtual card v/s a real card because a real card would cost $3, so you are actually only receiving $47. Still a great deal.
I did this with Subaru In Bellevue, WA for $65 a few months ago. Now, it is $50.
I think there is a $50 for a Chrysler Pacifica test drive.
I test drove a Hyundai at South Loop Hyundai. I actually bought a Hyundai that day. I had my coupon. They said I would get the gift certificate. I never did. My sister-in-law did the same thing at North Freeway Hyundai. She went around and around with them for two months and never got her $50. I think this is a scam. Bait and switch. I’ve already approached a news station with this info and now I’m going to be writing to the Harris County District Attorney. Hyundai shouldn’t lie to people.
I did a test drive at McGuire hyundai in Ithaca NY. Never got anything. The sales person said it would be sent to my email. That was over a month ago. Have tried to reach out to her Tania, and have no reply. Did not buy the car I test drove. SCAM…..
call 1st to make sure they are part of it. I did – walked in, and they asked if I wanted to actually drive. I said no, they said, OK – and three days later I got an email with my 50 dollars. This was in Waukesha WI.
Test drived a Kona at Courtesy Hyundai on Hillsborough Ave and now they are giving me hell to get the $50 gift card…Ripoff
They Will NOT Give You Nothing But A Sale Pitch
I wold like to take a test drive
I test drove & bought a new Hyundai Elantra over two months ago. My dealer sent in my coupon for a $50 gift card in mid August, but still have not received it. When are they mailed out? How much longer do I have to wait?
Or is this a scam?
Not a scam. I got one for my Elantra last November. I’m pretty sure it came through my email address.
SCAM!!!! Never got anything in email or mail. No response from dealer since we did not buy a car
