Received those pesky telemarketing calls from Monitronics that sound like a prerecorded voice? If so, you may be eligible for a potential award from the Monitronics TCPA Class Action Lawsuit! According to the lawsuit, Monitronics allegedly made automated phone calls to phone numbers that were listed on the national Do Not Call Registry and to recipients who did not provide their consent. Through these calls Monitronics violates the TCPA or Telephone Consumer Protection Act by using an automated telephone dialing system to those on the national Do Not Call Registry. Monitronics denies any wrongdoings but has agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of ongoing litigation. If you’re eligible, submit a claim form to receive your potential award by February 20, 2018!

This said it was estimated from $15-25 why is my check only $3.95? It cost more to print it than it’s worth waste of time if you ask me.
Wow I got a whopping $3.95 . I do not feel that this is correct for the 100’s of calls that I received day and night.. I even was on the do not call list. I guess that’s the way it is. First they harass You with 100’s of calls then cheat you of the money you deserve. Please let me know if there is any other thing i have to do other then cashing my big check.
I received a check in the mail for $3.95. Is this a settlement for the hundreds of robo calls I have been bothered by for years. I was suppose to be on the “Do not call list”. This check an insult due to me continuing being harassed on a daily basis by hundreds of calls a week. $3..95 big deal!!!!!!!!!
Lol. I just got a check for $3.95 feel like I was cheated. The calls they were making to my cell phone and home phone. Out of control..
Can I still file a claim if I just found the settlement post card while going through my
” important files/paperwork ” or is it to late for me to do anything? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have a check issued in my dad’s name, but he is deceased. What can I do with this check?
I received one of these checks also. Same amount. Did anyone cash them? Anyone have any problems, if you cashed it??
I’m on national “Do Not Call List” . I too received check for $42.35. If I received a check for every recorded telemarketer that phones each day, I would be wealthy. The calls are such an invasion of privacy. They are annoying and potentially hazardous for aging or people with disabilities. Many times I hurry to the phone, leaving tasks behind, only to hear a recorded marketer. These calls should be banned.
I recieved the same amount and put it threw my atm deposit and it went threw no problem so yes its a real check and its for marketing telaphone scam lawsiut ur accounted for so enjoy.
I can not say if the check is real or not, but I looked up the following information.
Bank of the West is a real bank and the routing number at the bottom of the check (121100782) matches, but I don’t know if the account number is real.
Do not convert to ACH – ACH stands for Automated Clearing House, which is a network that coordinates electronic payments and automated money transfers. ACH is a way to move money between banks without using paper checks, wire transfers, credit card networks, or cash.
On its face it says: THIS IS A CHECK — sign reverse for redemption. I don’t think a line to sign on is necessary. Just sign it back there and deposit it or cash it. (save the dough for a couple of weeks in case you need to return it.)
Received check for $42.35 also. What does ACH mean?
As is the Case of Every Other Responder, I Too Received a Postcard Type Check for $42.35, and Would Like to Know if This Check is Legal Tender? And What do the Words(Do Not Convert To Ach Mean. Thank You
Same here. $42.35 instead of the $25.00 maximum. Back of check is a post card with my mailing address. No line for endorsing.
So is real cause I have 3 of them
So is it real
I received the same check
I received a check on Oct. 17, 2018 for $42.35. Is this legit?
Received check for $42.35 on the 20th. Received a second one today (Oct. 23) for the same amount and identical check number.
I received the same amount but there is not a way to endorse on the back
Same here with the same amount.
I also received a check today for the same amount and want to know if it’s legit?
I to rec’d a check for $42.35 from Windsor, Ct.
I received a ck today for $42.35 is this legit or a scam
Same, same, same! 😉 Googling whether or not I cash it led me here……
I received the same thing, according to the phone message the settlement is still being appealed, so why did they sent me a check, same as all of the above recipients
i received that very same check amount from the same address… I would like to know if it is legit or not.
I also received a check exactly as yours today 10/20/18. 42.35 and from the Bank of the West. Is this a valid check or a scam?
I received a check for the same amount today. Also want to know if it is a scam. Please advise
I received the same thing and was wondering the same.
I just got a check in the mail – post card size – for $42.35 purporting to be from Monitronics International Inc TCPA Litigation, PO Box 40435, Louisville, KY on Bank of the West. It also says do not convert to ACH. Is this legitimate or is it a scam?
