About Nutella

First created in 1963 by the Italian company Ferrero, Nutella is a brand of sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread. A year after it’s creation, the company introduced Nutella to the world in 1964. The spread’s origin came from World War II when the baker Pietro Ferrero added ground hazelnuts to a chocolate spread to make up for the shortage of cocoa that was occurring. Decades lates, this sweet and decadent spread has become a staple in the pantries of homes everywhere.
