Style
The Langham New York Fifth Avenue Hotel is a 60-story glass building with a glossy and modern aesthetic. Some features include a yellow-lit reception desk, fireplace, winding staircase, and two enormous oil paintings by an artist named Alex Katz.
The hotel is built with neutral-tone oak, limestone and onyx, demonstrating New York City as a whole as well as gives a contemporary feel.
Rooms
This location includes 214 rooms and suites that is offered starting at 400 square feet. Each room is made to provide a residential feel with stainless-steel kitchens and laundry machines. On top of that, all guestrooms feature Italian walnut furnishings, luxurious Swedish Duxiana beds, Pratesi linens, and marble baths with rain showerheads, soaking tubs, and Lorenzo Villoresi Firenze for Bottega bath amenities.
The Executive Room was a large one-bedroom with a living area and included a walk-in wardrobe, and a full kitchen featuring Miele appliances. From this room, we could see the beautiful city of Midtown and Fifth Avenue below us.
Facilities
To help you relax or recover after a long day, check out Chuan Body + Soul because they offer a variety of treatments from a co-ed lounge space and a hydrotherapy circuit which includes a sauna, steam room, ice cave and salt sauna. These treatments are influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine and were created with the help of Kerstin Florian.
If you were looking for a gym, there is a 24-hour, 2,000-square-foot fitness center nearby stacked with TechnoGym Excite equipment, free weights and Fitness on Demand classes.
Food & Drink
If you ever stay here, check out their in-house restaurant is Ai Fiori led by chef Michael White. With the delicious French and Italian Riviera cuisine with a twist, there is a reason why it is Michelin-starred. You can opt in for breakfast, lunch, dinner and 24-hour room service. Definitely try the spaghetti with blue crab if you want to excite your taste buds.
Additionally, you can check out the Bar Fiori , where guests can choose from a cocktail/wine list along with small plates from the bar’s menu, or order from the Ai Fiori menu itself.
Service
Right off the bat at The Langham, the concierge asked us we needed help with dinner reservations. This personal service and attentiveness that The Langham offers is what makes it so unique to other hotels.
Not only that. but the hotel offers complimentary pressing of five items of clothing per day and free use of a chauffeured car within a 10-block radius. Can it get any better than that?
Location
The Langham is located on one of New York’s most famous shopping streets, in the middle of Midtown. It only takes about four-minutes to walk to the Empire State Building and is three blocks from Bryant Park. Other nearby attractions include the New York Public Library, Times Square, Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Center.
