Style
The Viceroy L’Ermitage Beverly Hills was remodeled as recently as 2015 by a local firm called Smith-Firestone Associates (SFA). One of the things they did was make the public areas of the Viceroy L’Ermitage covered in stunning white marble, brushed metals and geometric elements for a more contemporary elegance. Similar to using real leather, the materials used in the construction were luxurious, yet sturdy. Some of the other materials they used consists of ultrasuede, velvet, lacquer and parchment.
Rooms
The Viceroy L’Ermitage has 116 guestrooms, all starting a very generous 650 square feet. All these rooms were designed with the idea of using a modern approach to Beverly Hills glamour and indulgence. Each suite comes with custom-designed furniture, rich fabrics, expansive bathrooms, sophisticated technology and French doors that open onto a balcony with sweeping views of the city and the Hollywood Hills.
The Viceroy Junior Suite sounds small but had a glamorous runway-like dressing room with a tailored vanity area, with a three-way mirror and unique lighting.
Facilities
One of the standout features that paired perfectly with the Californian weather was the hotel’s guest-only, heated rooftop pool, that included a cocktail bar, chic cabanas and 360-degree views of Beverly Hills. The small spa at the hotel provides special services such as therapeutic massages, facials and body treatments. Also included in the hotel is their state-of-the-art fitness studio with personal training sessions by celebrity trainer Joshua Love and weekly yoga classes. Also, if you don’t feel like dealing with traffic, they offer a complimentary chauffeured Mercedes available to take you wherever you need to go in Beverly Hills.
Food & Drink
Operational for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Avec Nous has a LA/St. Tropez vibe and serves classic French bistro cuisine with a contemporary twist. The chef here loves local and seasonal ingredients, as well as rare European spices. The breakfast specials included the omelet with lobster, asparagus and a béchamel sauce. If this isn’t your taste then try the hilled carrot soup with jumbo lump crab and the Nous Burger. For dinner, the grilled foie gras a l’orange and the côte de bœuf is worth every dime.
The hotel lobby and lounge, once known as the Writers’ Bar, is legendary in show business. This spot has been a staple in Hollywood since 1975 and is the same place where Good Will Hunting, The Godfather and The Graduate were penned.
Service
The Viceroy L’Ermitage Hotel offers superb service that comes without fault. At the entrance stands four porters who will know each guest by name. After being escorted to the front desk, the receptionist can book you a spa, restaurant reservations and check you in all at once.
Not only will the Viceroy accommodate your every whim, but your likes, dislikes and your special needs, are meticulously recorded so that the next time you stay at L’Ermitage, you’ll get even better personalized treatment.
Location
The Viceroy is tucked away on a quiet residential street of Beverly Hills. Although L’Ermitage feels secluded, Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive are only five minutes away by car. The Getty is a bit further, a 15-minute drive, and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is about half an hour away.
