If you were a borrower or a co-borrower on a Wells Fargo residential mortgage loan that was closed by Genuine Title LLC between Jan. 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, 2014, you may be eligible for a potential cash award from the Wells Fargo Mortgage Class Action Lawsuit. According to the lawsuit, certain Wells Fargo employees allegedly received unlawful benefits from Genuine Title in exchange for referring borrowers to Genuine Title for the settlement of their residential mortgage. Wells Fargo denies the allegations but have agreed to settle the lawsuit in order to avoid the costs of further litigation. Eligible class members must file a claim by May 31st, 2016 to receive the award.
