Citi gives out cash back rebate cards of 5% on select purchase categories which rotate on a quarterly basis throughout the year. You must enroll in their program to earn the 5% rebate in these categories.

  • Department Stores
  • Toy Stores

According to their website, department stores are larger merchants that sell a general line of apparel, home furnishings, furniture, electronics, cosmetics, housewares and major appliances. They have several departments that usually have separate checkout counters. Toy Stores are stand-alone merchants that sell toys and games, and may sell a limited selection of do-it-yourself craft or hobby kits.

  1. Click on to register for the 5% cash rebate categories OR
  2. At website, log in to your account online and click on the 5% cash back offer OR
  3. Give them a call 1-800-231-0891 to enroll your Citi card for the 5% rebates each quarter.

You may want to check on your current Citibank 5% Cash Back Categories since you have until September 30th, 2014 to maximize all your cash back on:
