Earning Mabuhay Miles Miles
Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Miles can be earned in a handful of ways, however it doesn’t come as easily for Americans. That said, it isn’t impossible. Here are a couple of ways you can rack up on Mabuhay Miles:
Without any loyalty program transfer partners or co-branded credit cards in the United States, the easiest way for U.S. residents to earn Mabuhay Miles is by flying with Philippine Airlines and the following airline partners:
- Air Macau
- All Nippon Airways
- Bangkok Airways
- Cathay Pacific
- China Airlines
- Garuda Indonesia
- Gulf Air
- Hawaiian Airlines
- Malaysia Airlines
- PAL Express
- Royal Brunei Airlines
- Turkish Airlines
- Vietnam Airlines
- Xiamen Air
Mabuhay members can also earn miles by:
- Booking accommodations via Agoada PointsMAX, Booking.com, Kaligo, or RocketMiles.
- Booking accommodations directly with Hilton Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group, or Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
- Renting a car with Advantage Rent-A-Car, Avis, Hertz, Rentalcars.com, or Sixt.
There are even more ways to stock up on Mabuhay Miles, but they’re not easily accessible to Americans.
Redeeming Mabuhay Miles
Generally, most members will use their miles towards award flights with Philippine Airlines and partner carriers. The program utilizes a zone-based award chart.
There are only a couple other ways to redeem Mabuhay Miles, but they’re not very relevant to U.S. residents.
Mabuhay Miles Expiration
Mabuhay Miles will never expire, as long as you’re an active member. To stay active, you need to earn or burn miles (including transferring miles and reinstating expired miles) every two years or so.

Lately I travelled using China Airlines which has a codeshare agreement with Philippine Airlines. How can I add miles to my PAL Mabuhay Miles?
tnx for the article…question though, so in the US if I book an award flight with ANA or any of PAL’s airline partners, do I get to accumulate PAL Mabuhay Miles? A lil confused…Also, can I transfer, say, Chase Ultimate Reward points to ANA Mileage Club to redeem a Philippine Airlines operated flight?
