Riders Share for Drivers
Riders Share makes it possible to integrate a motorcycle into your next vacation. Let’s say you’re flying to Denver and riding the Rocky Mountain National Park, or getting to Sacramento and riding to Lake Tahoe. It is easy to book and priced reasonably.
Start off by picking your city and entering dates of your rental. Riders Share will provide a list of available motorcycles with photos and descriptions. If you have any other questions, the platform will let you message the owner before you book the motorcycle.
Once you pick a motorcycle, the site will walk you through creating an account. They’ll ask for your phone number, address, and a photo of your driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement.
Next, pick how much in deductible you’re willing to pay. The lower the deductible, the higher the daily cost of the rental. Riders Share will provide a complete list of charges, which includes a daily service fee. If you agree to the costs, enter your credit card information.
When the owner approves the rental, you’ll get their address and phone number so you can iron out all the details.
Leading up to your rental, Riders Share will send several emails, including one to use for when you go to pick up the motorcycle and another one with a checklist for you to follow.
If you’re loving this platform and think you will want to do this more often, then consider getting the Riders Pass subscription. The cost starts at $24 a month for 12 months, or $264 paid annually. You’ll get a 35% discount on rentals, a $50 motorcycle delivery credit, and one free trip cancellation. To qualify for a Riders Pass, you must be at least 25 years old and have a FICO score of 700 or higher.
Riders Share for Owners
Riders Share give the owners an opportunity to cash in on their under-utilized motorcycles, turning a money pit into a cash cow. The income you would make on the site can cover the cost of regular maintenance, registration, insurance, gear and so much more. According to the company, owners are seeing a return of as much as 2,800% in just three years.
This platform even goes as far as to provide a third-party insurance policy with no risk to motorcycle owners. The driver is liable up to $2,000, and the rest is covered by the insurance policy.
Riders Share owners are responsible for arranging the meeting, doing the key handover, determining drop-off, making a final inspection, and performing any needed maintenance.
Riders Share is a motorcycle-sharing marketplace where you can rent a motorcycle or list one to make money. The site handles all the details – logistics, payments, insurance, and motorcycle endorsement confirmation – so the entire rental process is a breeze.
