I actually came across this class action suit information while looking up another company. And I had had a problem back in 2014 with the 3 credit bureaus not correcting my credit report after a tax lien had been paid. The reason I found out it was still on my credit report was because I applied for a loan and was denied. So I researched my credit report and it was still showing open. Needless to say I had all the emails to the bank and also had a copy of the dispute that I filed with TransUnion. I copied this information filled the form out and sent it in for a claim. I was initially sent a letter saying they needed a copy of my lien showing it was paid and I had a copy so I provided that. I then got a letter saying I was approved. And although it took 8 full weeks on Saturday I did receive a check in the mail for $1500. I haven’t seen where anyone has posted actually receiving a check, so I wanted to put a post out there saying that I did indeed get paid. Thank you.
The same thing happened with me.
Is there a lawsuit for inaccurate credit score? My credit score for transunion dropped 74 points, from 745 to 671, after I paid off my loans in August 2018. It has never recovered. The other credit reporting companies scores did not take this drastic of hit and rebounded already. My husbands transunion score did not drop even though both our names were on the accounts that were paid off. We have over 20 years established credit together. When talking to Transunion they had no explaination. I bet I am not the only one with this problem.
