WePay Products and Services
As mentioned before, WePay offers various products to help manage your business more smoothly. They mostly have payment solutions but they also offer protection services.
WePay provides payment solutions with API-based integrated payments.
Merchants will also be covered from secure payments and refunds.
The payment methods supported are credit, debit, ACH and Chase Pay and you can choose whenever you want to process them.
WePay actually allows you to have your own self-branded payment solution.
Your payment service will still be affiliated with WePay however.
WePay has a bunch of developer tools listed on their website, and their documentation page also explains the different kinds of platforms they offer in greater detail.
They also have guides for successful integration as well.
WePay offers fraud protection for all their platforms. Fraud protection is recommended since it would decrease high risk for merchants.
WePay is also certified as a Level 1 PCI Compliant Service Provider.
WePay also has mPOS systems such as EMV card readers.
The mPOS are available for both iOS and android devices, and they also come with development kits.
Unfortunately, WePay doesn’t display their rates or fees on their site so they lack in transparency.
Since WePay only offers white-label payments, their pricing structures probably vary more.
You can always contact them to ask for at least an estimate based on what kind of platform you want.
Customer Support & Satisfaction
WePay provides customer support for their partnered platforms. They even have a page on their website of past customers talking about their experience with WePay, so they pride themselves in good service.
Alternatively, you can email WePay during their business hours which are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (EST) if you have further concerns of questions.
WePay also has a FAQ page so make sure to check to see if your question is there before asking,
Contract & Closing
Even though WePay offers white-label payments, the platform still has its own contract to consider.
You will have to go over the terms and services from both WePay and the platforms.
If you choose close your account early, you can cancel the payment service whenever without having to pay an ETF.
For those who actually don’t mind white-label payment platforms and would rather do eCommerce more, WePay may be perfect for you.
With WePay, you can have your own self-branded payment as long as it’s directly under WePay. They also offer fraud protection to decrease the chances of your merchant account being at a high risk.
If you tend to have larger transaction volumes, then consider Chase Merchant Services instead, a direct processor that provides more security.
For someone who’s new to the business world and don’t have that high of a transaction volume, then processors like Square can assist you in the journey.
