Style
Designed by ForrestPerkins, The Ritz’ lobby features commissioned pieces from local artists, paying homage to the nearby Dallas Arts District. The elaborate floral display at the center of the lobby are very intricate and are replaced weekly, never once being duplicated.
Rooms
There are a total of 176 rooms and suites all features a cool blue and gray color scheme with dark wood furniture and oversized windows.
The King Guest Room is a 370 square-foot room with a pillowtop mattress, a 55-inch HDTV and a walk-in closet. The wall behind the bed is accented that adds some vibrancy to the classic room, and the sleek marble bathroom was furnished with both a shower and a tub combo, chrome fixtures and spa toiletries.
Facilities
Le Méridien Stoneleigh had all the amenities of a luxury hotel, minus the spa. There was the outdoor pool with cabanas and comfy chaise loungers, a 24-hour, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a full-service business center. The property also housed seven event rooms with a total of 5,357 square feet of event space.
Food & Drink
Besides the room service that is available, Le Méridien has the Perle on Maple, a French bistro with a Texas twist that focuses on locally-sourced ingredients. Check out their delicious baked local goat cheese before enjoying the steak frites, rainbow trout with meuniere butter, and finishing off the meal with bourbon pecan pie. Be sure to reserve a table as this restaurant is a popular dining spot.
Service
The service at Le Méridien was prompt and professional throughout our stay. Surprisingly, what stood out the most was the online booking process. If you make your reservation directly with the hotel, you can “choose your features,” with options like whether you want extra pillows and which floor you prefer. The hotel made sure to tick all the boxes we checked, which made us feel like extra special guests.
Location
Le Méridien Stoneleigh lies in Uptown, an upscale area north of Downtown filled with trendy boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and cocktail lounges. The hotel is just a half mile from the Katy Trail and Turtle Creek, and the Convention Center and Central Business District are about 2.5 miles away.
