Buying Gift Cards from major retailers at 20% off!!!

If you join dealpass.com and pay $19.95 a year on membership, you get only 5% off gift cards among many other benefits. Unlesssss…haha..you know me, you follow these guidelines:
I know of a few programs right now that you can sign on a 30 days trial, get all the gift cards that they will allow you, and cancel the membership within the free trial period.
1) Buy something from Vistaprint (i got a rubber stamp for free with $5 shipping/Handling), then they will ask you if you like to join a couple of programs such as 24Protect(you can get $1500 of Lowes and Home Depot gift cards at 20% off). The other one let you buy gift cards from retailers such as Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. You want to join around the 2nd week of any month. Why? Say you buy $100 Lowes gift card. You will have to pay the full price at the time of purchase, but they will credit $20 back to your credit card at the end of the month. Then cancel the program. Again, please read their policy carefully.

2) Check out Backporch, here you can get 20% off automatically to most major retailers gift cards, gas cards, restaurant gift cards etc. They got 3 programs(Savings2go, backporch, etc) to join around $8.95 a month each, but all come with 30 days free trial. You want to call 1-800-272-6611, talk to customer service to join, ask specifically what program you want, etc. You want to call, and call back after about 3 days to get your membership id for quicker access instead of waiting in the mail. The bad thing is they limit you to buy 3 of the $25 gift cards for each retailer for each month. Order as much as possible, then cancel membership. Make sure you check your credit statement because I had to call them back to remind them to remove the first month membership fee. It is a little hassle, but if you want more gift cards, use a different phone number to call when sign up again or use another family member. Again, please check out their policy on their website and ask customer service to sort out all the details.

P.S. If you know of any other programs such as backporch, savings2go, etc…Let me know so I can share with everyone.
Happy New Year Everyone!!!! I’m ready to get my Hustle on for 2007!!! Peace out Biatchh!!

$100 TradeKing Bonus – promotional code “Trade”

Here is what I did to make an easy $100 a few weeks ago following an old post from mymoneyblog.com . I went here to open a new individual TradeKing account. Down where it ask you for promotional code, put in “Trade” .
- Fund your account with $1000,
- Buy one trade (I bought EEM),
- Get your bonus, then withdraw all your money,
- Sell your share, and withdraw your money.
Hot items! PlayStation Portable (PSP) for $160 and Canon SD 600 for $190 @ Circuit City
Here’s what I did for my little brother Christmas presents.
- Make two copies of this $40off 199 coupon. (**I saved all coupons under category coupons)
- Go to Circuit city, and buy PsP(price $199) only first and show the $40 off 199 coupon. (why not do both? because you want the coupon to work for each item)
- Go back a few minutes later, and buy the Canon SD 600 for $229, use the 2nd coupon, and get it for $190.

You can also get the Canon SD 600 at Staples for around the same price by using their 12% off on $249 price first, then use the Circuit city $40 off 199 coupon on top of that. Yes, they will honor their competitor coupon.
There is another special at Office Depot whereas Canon SD 600 for $250 with $50 rebate and also use the $40 off 199 coupon to make it around $160.
Again, all of this is YMMV, meaning your mileage may vary.(you might get it or you might not)
My Car Insurance – $830 for a year on a 2006 BMW 325i with Amica Auto Insurance
My current premium on my car insurance with Allstate was going to be $710 for 6 months that is due in January, so I figure to go look elsewhere for a better rate. Car insurance is pretty hard to give advice on because everybody situation is different. There are many variables to consider: coverage type, deductibles, full coverage or liability only, Car model and year, your driving record, your credit score, etc etc.Instead, I will tell you what I did and how I got the best rate with the coverage that I wanted.

I did a little research and found the two best companies to go with are Amica Auto Insurance and Ameriprise Auto Insurance through Costco. Amica can be pretty selective with their customers, and you need Costco membership for Ameriprise 20% discount. Ameriprise quote was $600 for 6 months with better coverage than my current coverage, which also includes one year of free roadside assistance for being an executive costco member. Not bad I thought until I gave Amica a chance. The Amica quote was even lower when I talk to a CSR from their website. Here is the results with the coverage from Amica:

New $40 Citi Credit Protector offer!
After their $100 gas card offer, I manage to get $50 more except that they sent me $10 card rebate for the next 5 months. I’m thinking of signing this new $40 offer (should be on one rebate check), and cancel it within 30 days. It would be a good idea if you use a Citi Credit Card with 0 balance, hence you don’t worry about any charges.
