Points are worth more for travel using Ultimate Rewards: As a Preferred cardmember, you get 20% off whenever you redeem your points for airfare, hotels, car rentals and cruises through the Ultimate Rewards website. E.G For using 30,000 points to buy a plane ticket(normally $300 in credit), your 30,000 points is now worth $375 towards your ticket. Chase Sapphire Preferred Review: Conclusion

Again, this is the best offer I’ve seen for the Chase Sapphire Preferred all year long with 40,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months from account opening. If you add an authorized user and they make a purchase within the same time-frame, you will receive an additional 5,000 bonus points. The $95 annual fee may seem like a drawback, but the extra reward benefits and bonus points signup far outweigh the annual fee. Even so, you get a $0 intro annual fee for the first year. Believe me, you will want this card since it’s made out of real metal and will leave quite the impression to your friends and family!

this card is the ish. I got it when it was still a $500 Bonus, and they absolutely honor that, and I used it on more than $600 worth of flights!! The card itself, is metal, heavy and impressive. Service is best I’ve experienced, live person picks up on first ring every time. I always get comments on it whenever I am making a purchase. And I charged this thing all over Argentina and Brazil, no international fees, no bullshit!

Note United Airlines is now one of the 1:1 point transfer partners, which makes this card particularly valuable.

I noticed that the online application asks for employer’s name, job category and time at job. Would someone who is unemployed be accepted eventhough they have a very high FICO score and clean credit reports?

My guess is self-employed is always an option.
