Southwest Airlines is great for traveling families since each person gets two free checked bags on all Southwest flights and there are no fees for flight changes. With the Rapid Rewards program, you book any available seat on the plane with your points.
If your family travels with a lot of baggage then it would make sense to opt for a cobranded Southwest card. The Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card is a low-cost card that’s better suited for infrequent Southwest flyers.
