1. Death Valley, California (USA)
|Average Temperature||85°F high; 55°F low|
March is a busy time in Death Valley. The temperatures start to get up into the 80’s, while the nights stay in the 50’s. Since this destination is 200 feet below sea level – the lowest place in North America – the climate is pretty extreme throughout the year with highs close to 120 degrees and lows near freezing.
Late in the month of march is when the region’s wildflowers start popping up, depending n how winter weather permits. When it comes to activities, great spots to check out include Zabriskie Point for the sunrise, the Borax Museum to learn about the area’s mining history, and swinging clubs at Furnace Creek Golf Course.
2. Adelaide (Australia)

|March Events||Adelaide Fringe Festival|
Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, is beautiful in March. As the Southern Hemisphere heads into autumn, the Adelaide region stays dry with temperatures lowering into the 70’s.
Tourists can take a look at the 150 year-old Central Market, check out the Cleland Conservation Park, and head to the Adelaide Hills to sample some sauvignon blanc and pinot noir. We also recommend driving to the McLaren Vale wine region for their shiraz, beaches, hiking trails and country farmers’ markets.
Another great feature in the March is the Adelaide Fringe Festival, which runs from mid-February to mid-March. This festival features comedy, theater, circus, cabaret, magic, music, dance and more in venues throughout the city. So, the festival is a great opportunity to explore Adelaide’s food, wine and bar scene.
