Bottom Line
Trustco Bank is a great bank option for new sign-up promotions when becomes available. This bonus is great because they have a soft pull, so your credit score is not affected. I would recommend the free checking account, to avoid any monthly service fees.
Trustco Bank provides great options for Checking, Savings, Money Market, and CD Account, however, you may want to compare with the nation’s best savings rates and CD rates.

Anyone knows how long it takes for bank to add reward money to your account?
Trustco’s website says that the Direct Deposit must be “the entire amount from a recurring payroll, Social Security, and/or pension (minimum of $100 monthly direct deposit)”. Can the bank really tell if your Direct Deposit is split between different banks? I don’t know how they would be privvy to that information. I have a few other promos going on right now so I can’t dedicate my whole direct deposit to Trustco right now.
