If you didn’t know already, many store offers a price match or price adjustment guarantee on your purchases! What is price matching? It’s when the store matches a competitor’s low priced items and all you need to do is present proof of their low price to get your matched discount!
But there are some instances where the store that the item you splurged on slashes their price a week later. This is where price adjustment or price protection comes in and lets you get the difference back if an item’s price drops soon after your purchase.

Walmart’s Price Matching Policy
If you find a lower price on a product that you want on another online retailer, inform Walmart before you place your order and they will match it. In order to qualify for the price match, the product must be in stock and identical in size model, quantity, brand, and color to the product in Walmart.com’s stock.
If you’re shopping in-store, Walmart will match its online prices – from Walmart.com or Jet.com. However, it won’t match competitor ads in stores. For in-store purchases, notify the cashier if Walmart’s online price is lower and that you’d like a price match.
Walmart no longer offers price matching or refunds for price drops. Walmart canceled their popular Savings Catcher price match tool 2019.
Walmart.com does not offer price matching with in-store pricing. Price-matching to other retailers is not available for prices shown from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, Walmart Marketplace and third-party sellers or from other neighborhood Walmart stores.

Target Price Match Guarantee
Target also offers price matching and price adjustments for up to 14 days after purchase! These are eligible for qualifying items found for less on Target.com, select online competitors and Target or competitor print ads.
Eligible competitors include Amazon.com, Macy’s.com, BestBuy.com, and Walmart.com. To qualify, the purchase must be made within the last 14 days and the product must be in stock and identical in name, size, weight, color, quantity, and number.
Visit your local Target with proof of a current lower price within 14 days of making your purchase. If you are requesting a price adjustment on a purchase you already made, bring your original receipt or packing slip.
Target does not offer price matching on items sold from Thanksgiving Day through the following week; on gift card offers; or on products on clearance, closeout, liquidation and other special sales.

Bed Bath & Beyond Price Match Guarantee
Bed Bath & Beyond will match the price of the items at the point of purchase or within 14 days after purchases from direct competitors. If you have a coupon, Bed Bath & Beyond will apply the price match OR the coupon, whichever saves you more!
You can also apply both of the options together, only if the competitor would accept the coupon at the price being matched. Please note that the competitor’s product must be identical to the one you’re buying.
- In store – provide the competitor’s ad or website. If you’ve already purchased the item, bring your original receipt, invoice or shipping confirmation.
- For online orders – call 1-800-GO-BEYOND or email customer.service@bedbath.com.
No price matches on membership clubs, for refurbished items, clearance or for prices advertised as “limited time” or similar language.

Best Buy Price Match Guarantee
If you see a Best Buy product’s price fall in-store or online after a sale within the qualifying return period, Best Buy will refund the difference between the two prices! Please note that the return and exchange period on most items is 15 days.
Not only that, they will also match the prices of certain competitors at the time of the sale period including online prices. Qualifying competitors include all local stores, in addition to Amazon.com, Crutchfield.com, Dell.com, HP.com and TigerDirect.com.
For BestBuy.com price match requests, call customer service to notify them of the lower price and see if your situation qualifies. For in-store purchases, you can inquire with a Customer Specialist at a retail location.
If you ordered online and are picking up in store, and the price is lower in store than it was online, you’ll automatically be charged the lower price.
Best Buy does not offer price matching on items sold Thanksgiving through the following Monday. The policy does not cover contract cell phones from other online retailers, or clearance, refurbished, and bundle offers. Shipping costs will not be included in the price adjustment.

Sam’s Club Price Match
Sam’s Club will price match their own merchandise, but only for select online purchases within eight days.

Exclusions: Prices during one-day only events, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and other promotional events.
Costco Price Matching
If you see a drop in price in-store or online on an item, Costco will credit the difference in price, as long as the purchase was made within the 30 days of the change in price. To request a price adjustment for purchase made online, make sure to complete this form. For any purchases made in-warehouses, just head to the membership counter of the Costco where you made the purchase.
Exclusions: Costco does not offer price matching with competitor offers.

Kohl’s Price Adjustment & Matching
Kohl’s will match both its own and competitors’ in-store price only, at the time of sale. Plus they also offer price-adjustment refunds on its own merchandise if the price falls within 14 days of the purchase date.
You will need to provide a copy of the competitor’s ad with the current date to get the price matching! And for price adjustments after the purchase, you’ll need to show the original dated sales receipt!
- For in-store purchases, bring your original receipt to the Customer Service Desk at a store location.
- The price adjustment policy does not cover clearance, Buy One Get One, or Kohl’s Cares cause merchandise. Kohl’s does not offer price matching for competitor online pricing, or for prices during Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Best Buy does not offer price matching on items sold Thanksgiving through the following Monday. The policy does not cover contract cell phones from other online retailers, or clearance, refurbished, and bundle offers. Shipping costs will not be included in the price adjustment.

eBay Price Matching
eBay‘s Best Price Guarantee lets you earn the best price match as well as a coupon that you can use towards future purchases! If you find an item on a competitor’s website within 48 hours of your original eBay purchase, get a coupon worth 110% the difference.
So if you find an item in eBay for $50 and then find it on another website for $40, that’s a $10 difference. So if you’re purchase qualifies for the price match, you will get a coupon for $11 that you can use on eBay.
Contact customer service within 48 hours of your original purchase.
Requests must be made within 48 hours of the original purchase. Only items displaying the Best Price Guarantee badge (about 100,000 items on eBay) are eligible. Only approved competitors will be price matched. These include Amazon, BestBuy.com, HomeDepot.com, Jet.com, Sears.com, Target.com, Walmart.com and Wayfair.com. Nordstrom Price Matching/Sales Adjustment
Nordstrom matches competitor prices at the time of purchase! But make sure that the items must be the same color and size and be currently in stock at a similar retailer! Plus they also do price adjustment on their own merchandise if the price falls permanently within two weeks of the order or purchase date!

Gap brands like Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic will do price adjustments on its own merchandise if an item is marked down within 14 days of your purchase or order date!

Sears Price Match Policy
If you see a product drops in price from Sears with 30 days after purchasing, Sears will refund the difference between the original price and the reduced price. Furthermore, Sears will also match the online and retail competitor prices at the time of sale. Make sure that the products must be identical in brand and model number to be eligible for refunds and pric ematching.
For price drop adjustments, visit the store location where you purchased the item with your receipt. You can also fill out a Price Protection form on Sears.com.

Although Home Depot‘s low price guarantee does not address protection for price drops, Home Depot does promise to match the prices of online and retail competitors at the time of sale!
For price drop adjustments, visit the store location where you purchased the item with your receipt. You can also fill out a Price Protection form on Sears.com.
To request a competitor price match, bring a valid advertisement along when you make your in-store purchase at Sears. If you are shopping online, call customer service to request a price match.
Home Depot does not match pricing on open-box or refurbished products, special offers, bundle offers or one-time only promos.

Lowe’s Price Match Guarantee
Lowe’s matches both the competitor’s in-store and online prices (including shipping and delivery fees) at the point of purchase. You can bring local and online competitor’s ad to request the price match! The item must be in stock on the competitor’s website!

If an online or in-store item purchased falls in price within 10 days, Macy’s will refund the difference! Your refund will be granted in the form of original payment.
Bring your receipt into a Macy’s or contact customer service with your order number. Price adjustments must be made within 10 days of placing your order.
Macy’s does not guarantee price matching for competitor prices. Nor does it price-match at the time of purchase.

JCPenney Lowest Price Guarantee
You can get a price adjustment towards your in-store and online purchases within the last 14 days from JCPenney. They also beat competitor prices by 5% within the 14 day window. To qualify for price matching, the product in question must be identical in brand, style, color, quantity, size, model, and weight.
Bring a copy of a competitor advertisement to a JCPenney store, or call JCPenney Customer Care with a link to the online ad handy. For online purchases, call JCPenney Customer Care: 1-800-322-1189.
JCPenney does not offer price matching for salon, optical, portrait, or services. JCPenney does not offer the extra 5% on items from Sephora, electronics and fitness equipment. The company does not match competitors’ special offer, clearance, refurbished, or loyalty club prices.

Bloomingdale’s Price Adjustment Policy
Bloomingdale will allow price adjustment on in-store and online purchases within 10 days of purchase. To make the adjustment, Bloomingdale’s refunds the price difference in the original payment form.
For purchases made on Bloomingdales.com, call customer service to request an adjustment within 10 days after placing your order. For in-store purchases, visit a Bloomingdale’s store.

The Children’s Place Price Protection Policy
If you didn’t know, The Children’s Place provides an after-purchase price adjustments on items if the price falls within seven days of purchases.
For in-store purchases, bring the original sales receipt to any retail location in the U.S. A credit will be issued to the original payment form.
For online purchases, contact customer service. Price adjustments for online purchases can’t be performed in stores.
Items must have been purchased at full retail price. Sale and discounted items are not eligible. The Children’s Place does not price-match other stores’ prices.
