How to earn up to $750 Referral Bonus for Current Customers:
- The referral bonus is only available to existing personal checking, personal savings, or business checking account holders only. Union Bank employees are not eligible to participate.
- Print, sign and complete a Share the Rewards referral coupon for each referral. Give the completed referral coupon to friends and business owners you know. The referred new customer to Union Bank must present this coupon with the referring customer’s signature in branch at the time of account opening. If referring customer is a business, the individual signing the referral coupon on behalf of the business must be an owner or authorized signer on the business account.
- Current customers will receive $50 for each personal checking account and $100 for each business checking account opened by the referred new customer. There is a limit of 5 referral rewards for personal checking and 5 referral awards for business checking per calendar year with a $750 maximum reward for each customer, each calendar year.
- The new checking account must remain active and in good standing for 30 days following account opening in order to receive the referral bonus.
- The cash bonus payments will be deposited into an existing personal checking, personal savings or business checking account, which must be active and in good standing, within 60 days of referred customer’s account opening. Reward payments to business customers will be made in the business checking account, and not to the personal account of the individual referring on behalf of the business.
For New Referred Personal Checking Customers:
- This offer is valid only for new customers with funds not presently on deposit with Union Bank. New customers are limited to those who have not maintained an account relationship with Union Bank within the previous 6 months.
- You must present the completed referral coupon with the referring customer’s signature in branch at the time of account opening.
- The new customer will earn $50 when opening a personal checking account (minimum opening deposit $100), and must keep it in good standing for 90 days.
- You must also meet at least one of the following requirements with the new account: 1.) Maintain ongoing monthly direct deposit of $100 or more. 2.) Make 3 Union Bank online bill payments to 3 different payees each month. 3.) Perform at least 5 ATM/Debit card purchase transactions each month after account opening.
- Rewards will be paid within 60 days of the referred customer’s account opening.
For New Referred Business Checking Customers:
- This offer is valid only for new customers with funds not presently on deposit with Union Bank. New customers are limited to those who have not maintained an account relationship with Union Bank within the previous 6 months.
- New business customer to Union Bank must present the completed referral coupon with referring customer’s signature in branch at the time of account opening.
- The new business customer will earn $100 when opening a business checking account (minimum opening deposit $100), maintain it in good standing for 90 days, and also meet the following qualifying requirements: 1.) Maintain a monthly average balance of at least $1,000 in the account each month after account opening. 2.) perform at least five account transactions each month after account opening. Eligible transactions include each debit or paid item, each credit or deposit, and each item deposited (excluding checks deposited through Remote Deposit Service). Bank transactions, such as fees or adjustments, are excluded.
- The reward payments will be deposited into the new business checking account withing 120 days of account opening, which must be active and in good standing.
This referral offer cannot be combined with any other checking offer. Bonuses may be subject to tax reporting; 1099 forms may be sent for tax purposes. All new customers must open their account by March 31, 2014 and meet all qualifications above in order to earn any bonus rewards.
